A&E Construction renovated the CT Suite at Capital Health System’s Mercer campus in Trenton, New Jersey.  The project was given a strict Class III Designation with respect to the hospital’s Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA).  This high rating reflected both the High Risk Patient Group that was present in this area as well as a Type C Construction activity which includes extensive demolition.

Specifically, the project involved renovating and creating new spaces for the CT Suite including the Imaging Room, Control Room, and Changing Area.  The project included the demolition of an existing exterior wall in the Imaging Room to allow removal of and installation of equipment.  A permanent lead-lined door and metal frame were installed for future access.
