A&E Construction completed a two-phased project at Capital Health System’s Mercer campus in Trenton, New Jersey.  Due the critical adjacencies of occupied spaces, both phases involved the strict adherence to Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) procedures.

The first phase involved the relocation of the campus’ P.E.T. suite including the renovation of an existing storage area and former cobalt room into the new P.E.T. Scanner Room, Control Room, and Injection Room.

The second phase involved the renovation of the abandoned P.E.T. suite into a new state-of-the-art CyberKnife suite that includes the Procedure Room, Equipment Room, Control Area, and ancillary spaces.  This cutting-edge CyberKnife Robotic Radiosurgery System is the first and only commercially available radiosurgery system designed to treat tumors anywhere in the body with sub-millimeter accuracy.
