A&E Construction Co. was responsible for the construction of a new fire house for Oakmont Fire Company in Havertown, PA. The project involved the complete demolition of the existing single-story fire house. The new facility is a 7,900 square foot, two-story masonry fire house, built on the same site. In addition to four engine bays, the new fire house includes a crew room, an engineer’s room, a radio room, a line & board office, and the Chief’s office on the first floor. The second level features locker rooms, men’s & women’s shower rooms, a board room, a training room, a board office, and a kitchen. In addition, miscellaneous site improvements were part of the contract.
