A&E Construction Co. was responsible for the construction and site improvements for the Silver LEED rated 3,700 SF PNC branch bank located in Jackson Township, NJ. In addition to the construction work, A&E was responsible for the LEED commissioning and obtaining the LEED Certification. Sustainable design features incorporated into the site design include drought tolerant landscaping, high efficiency irrigation, dark sky exterior lighting, alternative paving, and storm water management. The building systems include recycled content steel, high fly ash concrete, a highly insulated shell, triple glazed windows, shading devices, and high efficiency HVAC equipment. A&E developed a construction site recycling and waste management plan with a goal to divert 50% of the waste on the project. Additionally, A&E’s specific goal was to include 10% recycled content in the project.
