A&E Construction Co. was responsible for developing the site work and constructing the core and shell of five retail buildings for the Upland Square retail complex in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. The site, located at the intersection of Route 100 and State Street, occupies over 108 acres at the nexus of three municipalities – Pottstown Borough, West Pottsgrove Township, and Upper Pottsgrove Township.

The site work included three stormwater management areas, traffic improvements along Route 100, construction of new intersections, pad sites for the multiple buildings, and surface parking and landscaping throughout the complex.

The five buildings, totaling over 200,000 square feet, house a number of big-box retailers as well as many other retail establishments. A&E was also responsible for the tenant fit-out of a new Sleepy’s, Staples, TJ Maxx, Five Below, Petco, Best Buy, Famous Footwear and Bed Beth and Beyond.
