A&E Construction Co. was awarded the contract for major renovations to an office warehouse facility in northeast Philadelphia. The project includes installation of perimeter drywall and insulation to bring the existing building up to American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHREA) standards for energy efficient heating and cooling; installation of burglar bars at all sensitive penetrations inclusive of skylight openings; renovation of 3,000 SF of office space and 47,000 SF of storage and warehouse area, including blast resistant glass windows, an advanced security system, automated controls integrated with the HVAC systems.
