A&E Construction has been awarded a contract to demolish the existing fire house and construct a new fire house for Oakmont Fire Company in Havertown, Pennsylvania.  The project involves the complete demolition of the existing single-story fire house.  The new facility will be a 7,900 square-foot, two-story masonry fire house that will be built on the same site.  In addition to four engine bays, the new fire house will include a crew room, an engineer’s room, a radio room, a line & board office, and the Chief’s office on the first floor.  The second level will feature locker rooms, men’s & women’s shower rooms, a board room, a training room, a board office, and a kitchen.  In addition, miscellaneous site improvements are part of the contract.
