9.5.2008 - A&E Construction has been awarded a contract by CF Pottsgrove Associates, a joint venture between Tristate Ventures LP of Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania and Cedar Shopping Centers Inc. of Port Washington, New York, to construct the core and shell of three retail buildings at the Upland Square complex in Pottstown, Pennsylvania.
The project, which is located at the intersection of Route 100 and State Street, occupies over 108 acres at the nexus of three municipalities - Pottstown Borough, West Pottsgrove Township, and Upper Pottsgrove Township. The site work for the project had previously been award to A&E Construction and is slated to be completed in the Spring of 2009.
These three buildings, which total over 160,000 square feet, will house a number of big-box retailers as well as many smaller retail establishments. Building 1 totals approximately 73,000 square feet; Building 2 has over 53,000 square feet of space, and Building 3 features almost 38,000 square feet of space.
The architect for all three buildings, which have a total construction budget of approximately $7,700,000, is Ignarri-Lummis of Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Construction is slated to begin in September 2008 and be completed by May 2009.
