3.12.2008 -A&E Construction has been awarded a contract by CF Pottsgrove Associates, a joint venture between Tristate Ventures LP of Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania and Cedar Shopping Centers Inc. of Port Washington, New York, to develop the site work for the Upland Square retail complex in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. 

The site, which is located at the intersection of Route 100 and State Street, occupies over 108 acres at the nexus of three municipalities - Pottstown Borough, West Pottsgrove Township, and Upper Pottsgrove Township.  Site work will include three stormwater management areas, traffic improvements along Route 100, construction of new intersections, pad sites for the multiple buildings, and surface parking and landscaping throughout the complex.

When completed, the Power Center will encompass over 680,000 square feet of retail space in a dozen buildings including two large stand-alone retailers and five out-buildings. It is anticipated that A&E Construction will be responsible for the balance of the buildings which totals approximately 400,000 square feet.

The civil engineer for the project, which has a site work budget of approximately $28,700,000, is Nave Newell of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.  The architect for the buildings will be Ignarri-Lummis of Cherry Hill, New Jersey.  Site work is slated to begin in March 2008 and be completed by May 2009.  Building construction is anticipated to begin in September 2008 with occupancy expected in July 2009.
