2.4.2009 -A&E Construction has been awarded a contract by Wawa, Inc. to construct a new Food Market located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The project, which is located at the intersection of Bustleton and Kelvin Avenues in the city’s Northeast neighborhood, encompasses 6,100 square feet and includes a new convenience store and a canopied gasoline service area.
This project represents the sixth Wawa project in which A&E has been involved and continues the 3-year relationship between A&E and Wawa. During this timeframe, A&E has both constructed new stores and renovated existing stores in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
The architect for the project, which has a total construction cost of approximately $2,300,000, is Stantec of Petaluma, California. Construction is expected to begin in February 2009 with completion scheduled for July 2009.
