A&E Construction Co. is a premier Construction Management firm headquartered in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania with a branch office located in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Serving the Mid-Atlantic Region since 1978 and with hundreds of completed projects located throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and New York, A&E Construction Co. has repeatedly succeeded in exceeding the expectations of its institutional, commercial, retail, private development and municipal clients.

Founded by Bud Santora, A&E Construction Co. has grown from a modest four employees to its current staff of over seventy full-time employees. Bud Santora was responsible for instilling a philosophy of unyielding dedication to providing premium service and quality to clients of A&E. It is this philosophical engine that continues to drive A&E Construction Co. through his two sons – Bill Santora, CEO, and Tony Santora, President – as they continue to lead the business their father started.

A&E Construction Co. performs projects of various sizes for private schools and universities, private developers, corporations, office complexes, retail centers, multi-family residential, warehouses, and manufacturers. A&E Construction Co. has also received numerous awards for both its private and public construction projects.

During the company’s 28 years of existence, A&E has experienced steady growth in both revenues and profits. Revenues in 2005 were approximately $67,000,000 with 2006 revenues projected to be approximately $76,000,000. Currently, A&E Construction Co. is ranked as the 14th_Largest_Contractor in the Philadelphia area by the Philadelphia Business Journal.


In addition, A&E is recognized as a member of The Philadelphia 100 – the annual rankings of the philly100Philadelphia area’s fastest-growing private companies. This recognition, which has been bestowed upon the firm three of the past four years, is sponsored jointly by the Wharton Small Business Development Center, The Entrepreneur’s Forum of Greater Philadelphia, and the Philadelphia Business Journal.

During that time period, A&E’s bonding capacity, both on a per-project and aggregate basis, has also grown steadily. Currently, A&E’s bonding capacity is $12,000,000 for a single project and $24,000,000 in aggregate.

Our field crew motto of “Safety First” has become emblematic of our dedication to safety in the field, as evidenced by our Experience Modification Rating of 0.628. It is this rating that makes A&E Construction Co. eligible to construct additions to fully occupied and operating educational facilities as well as the most sensitive medical facilities.

A&E has, through a commitment to quality, developed a “Team” approach to working with our valued clients.
