A & E Construction, Inc. Names Vice President

Upper Darby, Pennsylvania - March 15, 2006 – A & E Construction, Inc. announced that William R. Long, P.E., a 22-year construction industry veteran, has joined the company as a Vice President in the company’s Upper Darby headquarters.

“We are pleased to welcome Bill to our organization,” said Anthony Santora, A & E’s President. “Bill’s extensive experience in various capacities within the building industry will be an asset to A & E as we continue to expand our client base in the Delaware Valley and beyond.”

A registered Professional Engineer, Long possesses a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree from The Pennsylvania State University. Long also holds a Master of Business Administration from Villanova University. In addition, he is an alumnus of Leadership, Inc. – a year-long Philadelphia-based program devoted to educating and developing leaders in the Philadelphia community.

An active member of the building design and construction community, Long has served as moderator or panelist for a number of panel discussions focusing on the building industry and has also been a featured speaker at multiple industry presentations. Over the past decade, he has presented at local, regional, and national functions for the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), the National Association of Corporate Real Estate Executives (NACORE), the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE), and the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS).

Long is a member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) where he is a Past President and Past Board Member for the Philadelphia chapter. Also, he served as the National Member and Chapter Relations Chairperson for SMPS. In addition, he is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP).

Prior to joining A & E, Long served as a Vice President in the Blue Bell, Pennsylvania office of Skanska USA Building Inc. – the U.S.-based subsidiary of international construction firm Skanska AB.
